UK PACT research on energy planning using EDM

The UK and Kenya have committed to work together to accelerate action on climate change while creating green jobs, and UK PACT is key to delivering this partnership.

Under the UK PACT Climate Compatible Grown (CCG) Kenyan National Energy Planning and support for County-level interfacing on modelling data exchange Project (April 2022-September 2023), the EDM team carried out action research on data needs for county energy planning, enhancing coordination for integrated energy planning, modelling county energy demand and promotion of gender equality and social inclusion. The research was based on our experience of designing full CEPs in Kitui and Meru, plus support for other counties.
